Guests - David Seemungal introduced today’s guests: Sati Seemungal his father a member of the Rotary club of Port of Spain West and John Ramdeen, Dhanni’s husband.
Announcements:
Dhanni Ramdeen distributed a list of names and phone numbers with a script for calling previous Auction Bidders, to inform that our 37th annual fund raiser event will be on e-Bay rather than on Roger’s TV.
Dave Hardy gave an update on Institute for New Suburbanism, please check your e-mails for details.
Barry Smith announced that there will be a group 4 meeting following the Nov. 8th Rotary meeting at Baton Rouge.
Gerd Wengler informed us that Frank Lippa’s wife Elizabeth was in a car accident, let’s wish her a speedy recovery.
Basil Dias told us he got a phone call from Lynn Wylie that Jack is not doing too well.
Basil also gave us an update that the e-Bay on-line auction is all set and ready to go, all we need now is items, Peter and Rocco are ready and willing to enter them in the system so that can get organized for the on-line auction.
Basil received a phone call from the Scarborough Club for him to join them at their next Rotary meeting Tuesday November 7th to pick up a cheque for our share from the ribfest.
President Mike, encourages us to make all the necessary efforts to find donors for items to fulfill the requirements for a successful on-line auction fund raiser. We all realize this is a great challenge for the transition from the TV Auction format to the on-line e-bay format, but if we all work together we will succeed.
Mike also had some suggestions, if can’t or don’t have time to find donors, to consider either buying items for the auction or even better contribute cash to the Club’s foundation this would ensure the club will have the necessary funds for the various projects at least until a successful fund raiser is established.
Today Mike gave a cheque for a $1,000 to our treasurer Dhanni towards the auction thanks Mike.
Our guest John Ramdeen also made a donation of $1,000 to the club. Thank you very much John.
Marbelous Draw Dhanni Ramdeen conducted the draw, our guest Sati drew the ticket that belonged to Arthur, yes Arthur, again he couldn’t find the mutant marble but gladly settled for the consolation $5.

he then asked for happy bucks -
Dave Hardy – happy the court case is all over, 3 people were charged with a total of 42 charges including the break and entry to his daughter’s home.
Arthur – was happy his son received an endowment from Engelheim for ½ million dollar and matched by Tenenbaum for another ½ million and was made the chair for this new endowment.
Dhanni was happy for her brother’s successful triple by-pass surgery, he is now recovering at home.
Basil was happy that Dorothy soon will finally be able to wear regular shoes. Rocco was happy he got to sit at the same table as John Ramdeen and to enjoy the wine John provided. There were many others just happy for the fellowship.
