President Avrum started the meeting with a ring of the Rotary Bell, and reading the land acknowledgement.

Anthem: Danny Cassidy

Toast to The King, Canada and Rotary. President Avrum

Total attendance 11

Attendance: 10 members and 1 guest (Dorothy Evans, guest of Basil)

Since we had no speaker scheduled, President Avrum called for contributions of jokes from all members present, and everyone participated.

President Avrum warmed up the room with a series of groaners from the Internet, which emboldened everyone else to take up the challenge, since Avrum had set the bar low enough for all those who followed.

Gerd contributed next with some politically incorrect contributions about midgets and naked nuns.

Al Meredith tried his luck with telling jokes in various accents. Gerd laughed particularly at Al’s German accent.

Danny told jokes about a Guinness drinker and a monastery.

Peter tapped the Internet for some more contributions.

Basil told a story about a cheating cousin-to-be.

Frank told a frightening snake bite joke.

Gordon told a couple of Englishman, Irishman and Scot jokes as well as a reinterpretation of a certain Biblical phrase.

Barry told a story about his unfortunate relative with the uncommon first name of “Fantastic”.

Mike told a story about a naked man and woman that didn’t have the punch line that anyone would have anticipated.

Where are the punch lines? No, they’re not printed upside down at the bottom of the page. I guess you just had to be there!

Announcements:

Sgt-at-Arms, Mike Mushet, collected mostly happy bucks, including:

- Danny Cassidy donated $20 as he was quite happy after his Caribbean cruise.

- Gerd’s Range Rover that died on his birthday and would have cost $50,000 to repair still responds to his auto control app. So, he was able to track down the car and discovered that someone had repaired it and put it back on the road. This is one for Ripley’s!

- Gordon was happy with his new puppy, an adorable golden poodle named Chelsea. Obviously, he must be a well-loved puppy to be named after Gordon’s favourite team.

- Peter, Basil, Barry, and Avrum were also happy for various reasons, including Frank’s buying a round of drinks to celebrate the Spring weather.

President Avrum then terminated the meeting.
