Date: June 21, 2017

Attendance: 12 (including 2 guests, visiting Rotarian Eric Byenkya from the Rotary Club of Kampala, Uganda, and visitor Nairy Markarian)

Chair: President Basil

Anthem: Peter Masson

Grace: Mike Mushet

Announcements:
- President Basil asked our visiting Rotarian, Eric, to introduce himself and say a few words. Eric advised us that he was the immediate past president of his club which is the second largest Rotary club in Africa with 92 members. His club is composed of 40% female members. He confessed that Rotary has been a life changing experience for him. He is in Scarborough visiting his daughter following his attendance at the R.I. Convention in Atlanta. He will be back for next year’s Toronto R.I. Convention.
- Arthur announced that Claudia Wong of Habitat for Humanity will be presenting to the club on July 26th, and we are hoping to have a cheque presentation on that occasion.
- Incoming President Mike has circulated a list of the Group Members for the new Rotary year. If you wish to change your group affiliation, please contact Mike a.s.a.p.

The Marbelous Draw was conducted by Doug Strype and was won, and  lost, by President Basil.

Sgt-at-Arms Mike Mushet asked for Happy Bucks, and many members appeared to be happy, including:
- Frank Allison who, on the occasion of his anniversary, donated a dollar for every happy year of marriage.
- Peter Masson was happy to have attended the Scarborough Rotary Club to listen to the Consul General of Japan.
- Barry was happy after his son treated him to a Blue Jays’ game on Father’s Day, because the home team actually won.
- Arthur was happy that his 7 year old grandson was able to spend the night with him for the first time... that is until his grandson woke him up at 3:30 am saying that he’s ready to watch TV!
- Basil returned his consolation prize and announced that Dorothy and he had just become great grandparents.

Program: Our scheduled speaker, the Consul General from St. Vincent, had to cancel at the last minute. So, President Basil divided those present into four groups and a comprehensive Rotary survey was completed by those present.
Basil thanked those in attendance for their valuable feedback.

The meeting was terminated
