- John Barrett and John Lennie both visiting from the Scarborough Club, Furduse Bari a prospect member and the guest speaker Patricia Neuman who is also a Rotarian from the Toronto Club.
 
Announcements: President Basil, reminded that the board meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 27 6:30PM at Kevin Manuel's.
 Frank Allison gave us the updated on Jack and Lynn Wylie, Lynn has regained 50% of her eyesight and Jack has been moved from the Margaret Birch Wing to the Rehab Wing, good news for both.
 
Marbelous Draw - Arthur Retnakaran conducted the draw the lucky ticket belonged to Mr. Bari who was unable to find the mutant marble but was awarded $5 for the effort.           
 
Sergeant At Arms - Alan Meredith, asked for a toony from anyone who didn't know who will be the guest speaker at the at the Willowdale Rotary Club 65th Anniversary Friday May 5th of course some of us had to pay, the guest speaker will be RI President –Elect Ian Riseley.          
 
Happy Bucks: - Frank Allison, even though he missed the singing of the National Anthem led by Jacob Lakirovich, was happy to make it to the meeting in time.
Here is a good one from Gerd: "Mr. Jones was about to be late for an important meeting, trying to find a parking spot seemed to be a challenge, so Mr. Jones asked for help from Heaven: Oh Lord I know I have not been very good you lately, but please help me find a parking spot quickly, I promise to be a good Christian in the future, I'll pray a lot and attend Church every Sunday, just at that moment he spotted a parking space around the corner, so Mr. Jones added - NEVER MIND I FOUND ONE"

 Peter Masson introduced our Guest Speaker Pat Neuman to talk to us about "Welcome Wagon"  
She is the president and CEO of Welcome Wagon Ltd.
 
Founded in 1929 - Welcome Wagon - a Canadian national greeting service that provides free services to over 500 communities throughout Canada.  Local Businesses assist families with life style changes, such as moving to a new location, getting married, having a child, or becoming new grandparents.
Pat is here to tell us all how Welcome Wagon got started and how has been changing over the many decades of existence.

Gerd Wengler thanked Pat for speaking at our Club and presented her with an Operation Eyesight Certificate stating that the eyesight of a male individual in a third world country has been restored on her behalf.
