Gerd introduced today’s guest speaker.
Enrique Cochegus, who some of us were familiar with from 14 years ago. Years ago, Alan
Meredith brought a project to our club to support a youth “American Football” team in Cozumel, Mexico.
Enrique showed us how the “ripple effect” of that project resulted in him being the Communications and Philanthropy Director of St. Felix Centre, a charitable organization that works in the area of homelessness, addiction, food insecurity, transitional housing and shelters.
Leaving a successful company which distributed products for Kimberly-Clark, and from coaching the Cozumel youth Football Club of Halcunes Dorados (the Golden Hawks), to volunteering to coach the Laurier Collegiate Football team in Guildwood, Enrique has seen St. Felix go from 20 employees and a budget of $400,000 to over 200 employees and a budget of $50 million.

President Danny advised that he has secured a furnace to be auctioned. The furnace is provided by Goodman, with installation by Mersey.
Gordon reminded us that there won’t be a meeting on March 18, with our pub night on Thursday March 19th at Smash.
Suresh related his visit with the Rotary Club of Gurgaon Cosmopolitan in Haryana State in India. This club is interested in Twinning with our club, and Our International Service Committee with review the possibilities. This area is a famous IT hub in India, and the club does lots of service projects, including eye clinics, a medical van, recycling garbage to repair roads.

Frank collected happy bucks and there were no fines.
Suresh was happy after his successful trip to India, which combined a family reunion with rotary business.
Dhanni had a great time in Trinidad enjoying carnival with her revealing costume.
Gerd was naughty winding up his combined gas and electric super-fast car to enter the Highway 404.
There being no further business for the good of Rotary, Danny closed the meeting.
