Sports:
The Leafs will make it to round 2 of the playoffs. The Raptors will make it to round 1 of the playoffs. Spain will win the World Cup. The New England Patriots will win the Superbowl. The Blue Jays will win the World Series. Rory Mcilroy will win the Masters and Oscar Piastri will win the drivers’ championship in Formula 1.
Politics/Current Events:
Olivia Chow will be the next Mayor of Toronto. The Eglinton LRT will open by June. In the US, the republicans will lose the House but keep the Senate in the fall. The Russia/Ukraine conflict will hopefully end. Trump will stay out of Iran.
Dollar/Economy:
Gold will hit $6,000USD by the end of the year. The USD will fall against the CAD. Canada will have slow economic growth due to the current political climate. Unemployment will rise slightly. The BOC will keep the rate around 2.25%. Trump will continue exerting economic force on Canada which will negatively affect our economy. We will NOT become the 51st state. Tariffs will keep coming from the US.
Weather:
We will have a hot and humid summer. Also, there is alot more Winter left with atleast one more big 30cm snow fall to come.

Announcements:
Danny Cassidy acknowledged the Birthday of Robert Burns on January 25th and quoted one of his poems “To a mouse”. Danny will be away in Singapore for 3 weeks and Basil will be taking his place during that time.
There was no Sargeant at arms this week so no happy bucks or fines.
As there was nothing more for the good of Rotary President Danny closed the meeting.
