Update from Tony Baker- Tony has been working, in India, for five years, as a Global Worker, teaching in Bible Colleges and orphanages etc. His knowledge of the Hindu faith has proven a great asset to him, as he understands that being Hindu is more than a religion, it is part of their DNA . Therefore they are  quite resistant to Christianity. He has been watched carefully, while working there, as he is not an Indian. This placement has proven to be a great experience.  Tony has returned  just ten days ago, and he has been asked to move to Malaysia. He will be working in Kuala Lampur, South East Asia, Thailand, and Vietnam to name but a few. He has been named the Education and Leadership Specialist for South East Asia and will spend much of his time training others in his field. Tony and his wife are off on a well-earned vacation, then will spend their time fundraising and will be returning to Asia in January 2014.

Program-

Basil Dias introduced our Guest Speaker.

The details of Jim Boyko’s Presentation will be provided via a voice file separately. Jim shared, with us, the picturesque back to back cruise that Marti and he took last spring.  Please listen to the voice file to enjoy the port by port experiences that they experienced. They started their adventure in Venice, on to Dubrovnik and Athens; they went back in time at Ephesus, visited a carpet weaving factory and visited Split before returning to Venice. They then departed Venice on route to Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos and Katakolon returning once more to Venice. Both Jim and Marti enjoyed the additional time that they spent in Venice this trip. The extra time that they had allotted allowed them the opportunity to see more of this beautiful city.

Barry Smith thanked Jim Boyko for his travelogue, as he felt that he had now been there as well. Think of the money that he saved! Barry then presented Jim with a scotch glass for his presentation.

Here is Jim's audio presentation.
