Announcements:

Rocco attended the Presidents club and recommends attendance at the District Conference and the International convention

Rocco also provided 2 flyers that he received at the Presidents Club:

-RI president to speak at Toronto Club's 100th anniversary Friday March 1/13;

-Rotary Club of York offering Chinese New Year celebration dinner Fri. Feb 15/13

Members who can are urged to attend these events

Kevin Moore announced that the TTC was slow today which was why he was late arriving

Directors mtg will be held Jan 28 at Doug Strypes’

Marbelous draw conducted by Charles Whitney  was drawn by  Art Nicholson and won by  Dhanni Ramdeen. Despite trying, the mutant marble was not found and she took home only the $5 as consolation.

Sergeant at Arms. Gordon Brown posed a Rotary question- what is the Rotary month of January-(Awareness month)

Fines: Gordon fined all who did not know this.

Happy bucks were provided by:  Jack Holman as Bill Patchett did not show and he was told he would be ; Art Nicholson was happy to be invited to be with us; David Seemungal was happy to be back from Trinidad; Gerd Wengler thought that this month was called also called “January”

Program: Today’s program was our annual predictions from our own club oracle. Introduced by chair Rocco Colangelo, Jim Boyko, began by recalling his record from last year from our Jan 11/12 meeting, and provided his food for thought for the coming year.

Jim was thanked by Rocco Colangelo for his predictions and comments.
