- Al Meredith requested more items for the Auction in time for Rocco to Record them in the Auction Roster.
- Arthur requested the approval of the members for 2 items under consideration by the Community Services Group.
- i) Youth Link Program – sponsored by Mike Cooksey of the Scarborough Club- addresses, among others, homeless youth and mental problems – Funding request is for $1000 per year for 5 years – Should we bind the club for the 5 years? There was overwhelming support for the program and the 5-year commitment including personal support by Jim and Gerd should that become necessary in future years.
- ii) Rotary Adventure in Citizenship run by the Rotary Clubs of Ottawa for sponsoring 1 student, 16 – 18 years old showing exceptional Leadership skills at a cost of $675 + Travel $500. It was also approved.
- Basil – Lunch tickets have been printed and are available for purchase

Al Meredith fined everyone who did not donate at least 5 items $5.
Mike Mushet donated $ 1000 to the club.
Barry bought the Golf clubs for $50 since there was no other bidder.

Speaker: Beth Ellis, Executive Director of the Toronto Commandery Hospice Inc. was introduced by Peter Masson and she spoke on the work they do and their capital campaign for funding for a new building. She gave several touching anecdotes on the need for Hospice to provide a home-like place for persons to spend the last days of their lives. They have a grant from the Government for 2 million and are looking for an additional 8 million from various Rotary Clubs and other agencies. Mike Mushet thanked the speaker.
