President Madhavi "The Year Ahead"

Yasser Lone, Hailu Malatu, Kamran Akbar, Maghfaur Rahman and Donna Salamalay, all new prospective members. (Sorry for any misspelled names)

Announcements:    Gerd Wengler reported that he successfully completed the Bruce Trail 50km

hike in 11 hours thanking the Club and all individuals who sponsored him.

Basil Dias was glad the Ribfest is over and thanked everyone that helped.

Of course we all thanked Basil for all his hard work.

Dave Hardy announced that the Scarborough Clubs got an award for the renewal campaign.

Basil announced that Gerd Wengler had put his name in the hat to run for the VP position. QUICKLY an election was held and the vote was unanimous electing Gerd as the new VP. Congratulations Gerd.

Marbelous Draw:    Charles Whitney conducted the draw, Rocco was the temporary 2^nd prize winner.

Sergeant At Arms:  Gordon Brown

Gordon, was in good mood today, could be because of all the World Cup soccer games we have been enjoying and only asked for happy bucks.

Sameer, was happy that while Madhavi is the President he is not the only one that has to obey orders.

Basil, happy that since he is no longer the VP, he may now resume planning his well deserved future vacations.

Peter Masson, happy for the upcoming family reunion.

Roland List had great time in Switzerland and happy to be back.David Seemungal, Arthur, Charles, Rocco and many others all happy for the fellowship.

PROGRAM:             Our Speaker today was our President Madhavi Chandrasekaran.

Madhavi told us the RI Presidents for this Rotary year is Gary C. K. Huang from Taiwan, the 2014/2015 Rotary theme is "LIGHT UP ROTARY"

And gave us an outline of what we need to focus on for the coming year like:

Membership, Monthly Group Meetings, weekly meeting attendances, and Fellowship. Madhavi wants us to review our last Fireside Plan, follow the POD system and always live by the "4 WAY TEST".

Madhavi promised to do her best to get this Club to grow even stronger and 

"LIGHT UP ROTARY" the RCNS way!

With everyone's help and support it can be achieved.
