Announcements-

-President Rocco was glad to see Kevin Moore back at the club. The entire club seconded that emotion.

-President Rocco has sent out the constitution to everyone and encouraged us all to read it.

-Jack Holman is on the lookout for anyone who still has pledges outstanding for President Rocco’s Foundation Walk. He will be talking to Guido soon.

-Gordon Brown advised that there will be a Group 1 meeting tonight at Frank Allison’s.

-Gerd Wengler announced that there will be a Group 4 meeting following the lunch meeting on October 16.

-Al Meredith encouraged anyone who offered to step up and contribute to the shortfall of the Ribfest to Step Up!

-Dave Hardy thanked Park Property for financing Camp Enterprise, and also thanked Basil Dias, Jim Boyko and Carolyn Nicholson for their contribution and to others unnamed.

-Carolyn Nicholson thanked Dave Hardy for taking the lead in making Camp Enterprise a reality.

-Carolyn Nicholson also encouraged all club members to participate this weekend.

Marbelous Draw- Charles Whitney did the honours and the team of Gerd  Wengler held the lucky ticket. The mutant marble once again eluded his grasp. There is still hope!

Sargeant at Arms-Jacob fined everyone who didn’t know that King James II of Scotland 1430, David Ben Gurion 1886 and Angela Lansbury 1925 were all born on October 16.

-Anyone who had not turned in items for the TV Auction was fined.

-Anyone who did not plan to read the constitution was fined.

Happy Bucks- Gerd Wengler donated his winnings ($5) and asked if there was anyone who thought that the US debt ceiling would be raised today.

-Kevin Moore was happy to be back.

 

 

TV Auction Report-

-Jacob Lakirovich asked for TV Auction Reports- Al Meredith’s Group reported that they had 20 items to date.  Al expressed concern as to the low number of items brought in so far and encouraged everyone to step it up. Time is running out! 

Program-

President Rocco Colangelo introduced our Guest Speaker.

David Seemungal’s Presentation described the restructuring of the Foundation Grants. They have been packaged into Humanitarian Projects, Vocational Training, Scholarships etc. For details go to the District 7070 website. This change will simplify the grant process.
