Announcements:
Jacob Lakirovich announced that the Board will meet on Mon. July 30 at 7:30 at Jacob’s house. Directions to follow. He also advised that we had received an email from the DG thanking our Club for their hospitality and urging all of us to attend the District conference in Richmond Hill Oct 29-31.
Jack Holman advised that he had been contacted by Honorary Member Paul Sorely who very greatly enjoyed our 50th anniversary Charter Party. He looks forward to attending the 100th. Me too.
Marbelous draw conducted by Charles Whitney was drawn by Gord Dobbin and won by Al Meredith (your scribe was off by just 1). Despite considerable trying the mutant marble was not found.
Sergeant at Arms. This week Rocco Colangelo was acting on behalf and at the request of Danny Cassidy, who asked him to be gentle. Accordingly Rocco levied no fines today but asked for Happy Bucks only.
Happy bucks were provided by: Gord Dobbin for doing such a good job on the anthem; Peter Masson and Rocco as they were happy; Frank Allison on his return from Africa and getting stuck in London; Vern Barney was just happy; Jim Boyko a happy $5 for an enormously successful series of golfing adventures – at least it wasn’t a fish storey.
Program: Today’s program was a report on the 2012 TV Auction. Gord Dobbin of the East York Club was introduced by Kevin Manuel and he explained that he was here as a member of the Metro Toronto Auction committee to get us going and excited on the upcoming TV Auction. He detailed some of the progress we had made last year and further progress we hope to make this year.
A sound file of the presentation will follow separately.
