-Mourace Scott invited us to join the Twilight Club for their Valentine’s Party, being held at the Highland Yacht Club, on February 15, 2013. For further information please contact Harry Hakomaki.
-Bill Patchett placed crocus boutonnieres throughout the room, invited members to purchase them, and wear them, in order to increase awareness of Polio Plus.
-We were reminded that our RI President, Sakuji Tanaka will be speaking at the lunch meeting of the Toronto Club at the Royal York on March 1, 2013. Detailed information is found on Clubrunner.
Marbelous Draw- Penny Williams did the honours, and pulled the lucky ticket belonging to the flying aces, Gerd Wengler and Mike Mushet. The mutant marble proved elusive once more.
Sargeant at Arms- Basil Dias fined anyone who did not know who the In-coming President of RI was. Then striking while the iron was hot, he fined anyone who did not know who would be heading up Foundation 2013-14.
Happy Bucks-
-Danny Cassidy was happy that RIM was releasing the new Blackberry today. His son is a computer programmer and had been working very hard on this project.
-Danny was also very proud to recognize one of the Canadian soccer players, as a boy he had coached many years ago.
-Frank Allison was very happy to find out about glucosamine Chondroitin, during lunch a couple last week. He ran out and bought some right away, returning home with renewed hope. He shared the news with Bette, then proceeded to choke on the capsule. Luckily, Bette came to his aid and he lived to tell the tale.

Please listen to it, as the presentation was very detailed.
Paul Bolton updated us on his return to the Presidency of the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra, after a brief retirement from the position, which he held for ten years. He assured us that the SPO was indeed in good hands, with Sue Payne taking over the position of general manager. He was happy to be in the company of Kaye Royer, who is both a conductor and member of the SPO. Kaye is currently involved with six other orchestras.
Kaye Royer shared her excitement about the upcoming concerts with us. She went into great detail about some of the individual pieces that will be included in this season, and assured us that we would find the choices very entertaining.
North Scarborough Rotary is partnering with the concert on May 12, 2013. Please mark the date and encourage friends and family to come out and join us for a wonderful evening.
Jack Wiley thanked Paul and Kaye for their presentation and they were presented with Anniversary glasses as a token of our appreciation.
