·       Carolyn advised there will be a group 2/3 meeting at her house on Tuesday August 13th at 7.30pm.

Marbelous Draw was conducted by Joan, our guest speaker drew the winning ticket which was claimed by Madhavi, but she was unable to find the mutant marble.

Sergeant-at-Arms:
Frank Allison - as we had fish and chips for lunch he was going to fine anyone who had never had fish and chips wrapped in newspaper – as it seemed that everyone had, he then fined those people that had. He then asked for Happy Bucks.
Madhavi contributed as she was happy her studies were over and she is now going to be on vacation.
Dave Hardy was happy that his grandson will be out of hospital tomorrow.
Carolyn was happy that her son celebrated his 40th birthday last weekend.
Gerd contributed as he spent some time with his wife and mother in Killarney (Ontario not Ireland).

Induction of our new member Arthur Retnakaran.
We were pleased to welcome Arthur into our club. His induction ceremony was lead by President Rocco with assistance from Kevin Manuel, Madhavi, Dave Hardy, Gerd, and David Seemungal.

Speaker:
Kevin Manuel introduced Gord Dobbin from the East York Club. Gord is on the organizing committee for the TV Auction. It will be held on Friday November 23rd to Saturday 24th. This will be a total of 19 hours broadcasting. Last year (2012) our club raised $16,100 (not including sponsorships). He advised us that most items sell for about 60%-70% of their stated value. Sports tickets though usually sell for their face value and sometimes more. He asked members for any ideas on collecting donations- Dave Hardy suggested we ‘look in our liquor cabinet’ to see if there were any ‘expensive ‘ bottles of scotch or similar! Gord encouraged us to volunteer for some time on the weekend of the event. A recording of his speech will be sent separately.  Mike Mushet thanked Gord for his presentation and thanked with a certificate from Operation Eyesight.

There being no further business President Rocco closed the meeting.
